Coverage overview

Built around your organization—not a template.

Group life insurance can provide employees with a practical foundation of protection. It may also provide access to certain coverage amounts with simplified or guaranteed-issue enrollment when carrier requirements are met.

Basic employer-paid life

A core benefit funded by the employer, often a flat amount or a multiple of eligible earnings.

Voluntary supplemental life

Employee-paid options may allow workers to elect additional coverage, subject to plan limits and evidence-of-insurability rules.

Spouse and dependent life

Eligible employees may be able to elect coverage for a spouse or dependent children where the plan permits.

Accidental death benefits

AD&D may be included or offered separately, but it is not a substitute for comprehensive life insurance.

A strong fit for

  • Employers strengthening recruitment and retention
  • Organizations building a complete benefit package
  • Groups seeking basic and voluntary employee protection

How it works

Important choices, explained clearly.

Group life may help employees who face difficulty obtaining individual coverage, but coverage is not automatically guaranteed in every amount or circumstance. Carrier, eligibility, participation, and enrollment rules apply.

Guaranteed issue

Certain benefit amounts may be available without individual medical underwriting during an eligible enrollment period. Limits and participation requirements vary.

Evidence of insurability

Coverage above guaranteed-issue limits, late enrollment, or increases may require health questions or carrier approval.

Portability and conversion

When employment ends, some plans allow continuation or conversion under specific deadlines and terms, often at a higher cost.

Beneficiaries

Employees designate beneficiaries and should review them after marriage, divorce, births, deaths, or other major changes.

What we help compare

Benefits, cost, participation, and long-term value.

Available carriers and plan rules vary. We organize the choices and help the employer understand the tradeoffs before making a decision.
